Rochester to hold unique fundraiser

A Rochester racing fundraiser will have a good cause and a unique twist in mid-August.

The event will be held in order to raise money to help fight sarcoma, which is a type of cancer. The money will be used through the Mayo Clinic, allowing for research to be conducted locally. The goal of this fundraiser is to raise $20,000.

The funds will be accumulated through entry fees, as well as the races those apply to, but the races are a little different. Participants will be able to try out the sport of Ninja, as seen on the hit NBC show “American Ninja Warrior”. The event will be hosted by Rein In Sarcoma, with equipment supplied by Ninja Anywhere.

Each race will allow for different skill levels to participate in the fundraising. Entry fees are $100 for anyone 13 and older, while it is $10 for anyone 12 and under. Anyone who wants to just watch is allowed to for free. There will be waivers required for each racer as well.

The venue for the event is the Little Thistle Brewing Company, a local brewery. In addition to the course, which will likely be marked off with Signs displaying the Ninja Anywhere name and Logo Design, there will be food trucks available for both nourishment and beverages.

This fun-filled day will take place from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm on August 15.
