The Rochester Children’s Museum makes it possible for little ones with pre-midnight bedtimes to still ring in the new year.
The annual Noon Year parties have become such a popular event the museum has not added another party for children to attend on the same day. Organizers warn that both events are likely to sell out, so parents should reserve tickets early.
The party includes music and dancing, games and prizes, promotional items and plenty of snacks for a complete party experience. The party also includes a countdown to the Noon Year, complete with a ball drop and confetti. The countdown takes place towards the end of the event, just as it does for the adults during their New Year’s Eve celebration.
The parties are on December 31st from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm with a noon-time ball drop, or 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm with the ball drop at 4:00 pm. The Minnesota Children's Museum Rochester is located at 1643 North Broadway Street, Suite A, in Rochester. The tickets are sold at the museum webstore on their website and cost $10 each. There is no admission charge for children under age 1. Museum members receive a $2 discount but must show their membership card at the event. Make certain to Print the tickets or save them to a smartphone.
