The 2019 RNeighbors Lumber Jack and Jill Forest Fest will celebrate Rochester forests, forest industry, and people.
The festival will take place at Kinney Creek Brewery, one of the co-sponsors for the event. The People’s Food Coop is the other sponsor and has supplied the food for the afternoon. A s’mores station will be open thanks to donations from Maier Tree and Lawn.
The event will include food and drinks and plenty of entertainment. The lumber theme continues with the activities, and an award ceremony for community volunteers will take place during the afternoon event. Raffles for Minnesota events and experiences will also be included.
Guests may want to take a camera for their poster printing later, and there are plaid photo ops available during the day. Guests are also encouraged to wear their own forest-inspired get-ups with as much flannel and facial hair as possible.
The Rochester Festival for Lumber Jacks and Jills is a family-friendly event, so people of all ages are welcome. Adult tickets are $20 each in advance from Eventbrite and $25 at the door. Each ticket purchase includes a locally crafted beer or root beer. Children 12 and under get in free.
The event will take place on March 10 from noon to 3:00 pm at the Kinney Creek Brewery at 1016 7th Street NW in Rochester.
