A performance in Rochester in the third week of March will be showcasing the latest talent from a long-standing group.
The Harlem Globetrotters have been around since 1926, making this year the 99th anniversary.
The Globetrotters have a goal of helping the communities they perform for through charity, while also providing a few hours of entertainment to the crowd. The team plays a game of basketball, but is better known for the added skills showcase gives the players a chance to dazzle the audience with impressive moves and trick shots.
The organization received the honor of being named as “ambassadors of extraordinary goodwill” in 1951. Notable alumni include stars such as Lynette Woodard, Wilt Chamberlain, Meadowlark Lemon, Sweet Lou Dunbar, and Frederick “Curly” Neal.
Tickets to the Rochester show on the tour are sold through Ticketmaster. Prices for regular admission, including fees, range from $45.44 to $138.63. For a special experience sitting right by the players from either the Harlem Globetrotters or the Washington Generals on their bench, the cost is $428.16. Pre-show experiences are available for $33 and $100.
The venue will be the Mayo Civic Center. Many touring acts – whether in music, sports, or some other form of entertainment – will engage Logo Design services as pat of a variety of merchandise. The game is scheduled to start at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 16.
