An expo in mid-September will give local artisans a chance to shine.
The Rochester Craft and Gift Show is an event hosted by The Hands That Shape, LLC. The business started as a way for its owners, who are a married couple, to share their art. After some time, they made the choice to use their knowledge of crafting and the community that surrounds it to help others gain traction and raise awareness about a particular artform. This led to the creation of the shows, as well as blog posts with information on various aspects of attending shows and selling art.
The market will have artists and makers who work in a variety of styles, media, and categories. This includes items like food, jewelry, and decorations. Everything sold at the event is handmade and designed by its seller, meaning each piece will be one of a kind.
All ages are welcome, and there is a special bonus for adults who are within the 50 earliest arrivals – a free bag full of gifts and Promotional Products. A similar practice is common at trade shows and expos, with vendors and event organizers using it to promote their business.
The venue is Graham Arena 1, located in the Graham Arena Complex. The show takes place Saturday, September 21, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and is free to attend.
