Funding goes to Rochester college for student scholarships

The Bea Family Foundation has pledged $100,000 to the Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC) Foundation for scholarships to benefit employees who are hourly or union members at the Kahler Hospitality Group.

The gift of $100,000 will create two scholarships that will benefit employees of the Kahler Hospitality Group for many years. Those who apply for the scholarships can be hourly and union employees or their children, grandchildren, or guardians, provided they are in good academic standing at RCTC.

For the 2023-20-24 academic year, four $2,000 scholarships will be offered. After that, each year there will be two scholarships of $1,500 each for the employees and families of the Kahler Hospitality Group. More information about the qualifications for such scholarships and how to apply for them is often provided by local printing services, which can create Flyers and pamphlets to be distributed throughout a community.

President of RCTC, Jeffery Boyd, Ed.D., said that scholarships to RCTC can transform the lives of students. He said that for many students at the school, they enable them to start a successful career that will provide financial stability for themselves and their families. He expressed his gratitude to the Kahler Hospitality Group and the Bea Family Foundation for investing in their employees.

Applications for the scholarships will be accepted as of April 7, and must be submitted by May 15.
