The 48th annual Bottle, Table Top Antiques, Paper and Postcard Show and Sale is taking place in Rochester at the end of next month, presented by the Genesee Valley Bottle Collectors Association (GVBCA).
There are expected to be over 100 vendors on hand at the show, which will be selling items such as Postcards, printed advertising, political pamphlets, campaign buttons, and trading cards.
In addition, several GVBCA members will be hosting exhibits on various items such as bottles, stoneware, and advertising from a specific age. In past years, there have been approximately 12 displays for the public to enjoy. Participants compete for Best in Show and for People’s Choice awards.
Shows like there are a chance for the public to discover some of the great designs and illustrations of the past, and for some to find the perfect piece to complete their collection.
Vendors will be representatives from antique stores and book stores, or just people selling parts of their collections. To bring attention to their tables, many Rochester participants may invest in services such as sign and banner printing.
The event will be held at the Voller Athletic Center at Roberts Wesleyan College on April 30 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Admission is $5, and those who want to learn more can call 585-226-6345 for the most up-to-date information.
