An act which pays tribute to one of the world’s most beloved groups is taking its tour to Rochester in early January.
MANIA is an award-winning group that honors ABBA. Established in 1999 and starting to play gigs the following year, MANIA has traveled around the world performing a variety of the biggest hits by the Swedish quartet. The group goes all out, diving right into the 70s glitz and glam ABBA is known for with lavish costumes, as well as lighting, staging, and effects.
MANIA has even performed alongside ABBA themselves during a special celebrating the latter’s appearance on “Eurovision.” MANIA has sold out many venues for residencies and tours throughout their career.
Amongst ABBA’s catalog are songs like “Waterloo,” “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight),” “Mamma Mia,” “Fernando,” “Dancing Queen,” “The Winner Takes It All,” “Sitting In The Palm Tree,” “Take A Chance On Me,” “I Have A Dream,” and “Voulez-Vous.”
Tickets are sold through the Mayo Civic Center’s box office, as well as Ticketmaster. Through the latter platform, the tickets range in price from $42.40 to $97.62 at the time of writing, including fees.
The Rochester concert will be two hours in length. The venue is the CH Mayo Presentation Hall. Many touring shows will sell merchandise with the event’s Logo Design printed on it. The performance will get started at 7:30pm on January 7th.
