The Reif Arts Council will host a staging of the puppet parody 'The Golden Girls Show' in Grand Rapids.
The staging is a parody of the popular television show 'Golden Girls'. The original show was set in 1985 in Miami, Florida. It tells the story of four older women living together in a shared home, navigating the ups and downs of daily life. The parody features some of the shows most memorable moments in a musical. In true Golden Girls fashion, the show will also present these moments in a humorous way, using puppets.
The show has been a hit with Golden Girls fans across the country. It has been shown in numerous theaters since its premiere in September 2020. The show stars Cat Greenfield as Blanche, Ashley Brooke as Sophia, Michael LaMassa as Dorothy, and Kirsty Moone as Rose.
The cost is $29 per ticket per person. Those attending the event should bear in mind that the venue operates under Covid-19 guidelines. As such, patrons should be prepared to follow the protocol in effect. Attendees can check the Reif Center website for further information on its Covid-19 measures.
