Girl Scout event to encourage new signups

Girl Scouts Lakes & Pines will soon hold a special Grand Rapids Trolls Party, an evening that will double as a new member signup event.

Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pine is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 8,000 young girls in 39 county service areas. The Girl Scouts organization offers girls activities and programs for healthy development physically, mentally, and socially.

The Trolls Party will be an opportunity for girls interested in becoming a Girl Scout to see what membership is all about. The Trolls characters represent what Girl Scouts stand for because they are helpful, caring, and brave. Attendees at the event can take the Girl Scouts’ Trolls “It Takes Two” Challenge to discover how Girl Scout Law fits into the Troll world, and earn the Trolls Band Together fun patch. The event is designed for girls who are soon-to-be kindergarteners up to those in the second grade.

Group events like this will often be advertised on Flyers. Shops specializing in flyer printing can create them, and they can then be distributed in locations like schools and community centers.

The Girl Scout event is slated for next Tuesday, May 7 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. It will be held at East Rapids Elementary School located at 1195 Northeast 10th Street, and is free to attend.
