Soccer helps kids to get physically active, and Fairmont kids have been offered the opportunity to sign up for a program that will see them take to the field.
The community’s Summer Rec Soccer Program is currently accepting registrations. There are three age groups on offer, and the practices will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays during the summer.
All scheduled sessions will take place at the Fairmont Soccer Complex, and the registration fee starts at $50. When they do complete the process, all parents or guardians will need to prepare an account on Sports Connect, upon which they have been asked to consider signing on themselves to serve as a coach or sponsor. The final date to submit an application for a child, coach or sponsor is June 30, and those who do it before May 31 will not have to pay a late fee.
Organized sport can offer a number of benefits to those who take part. T-Shirts printed with a team or club’s Logo Design can be prepared by a printing services company, along with other custom items they may find helpful.
The start date for Fairmont’s kids’ summer soccer program will be July 22. It will wrap up on August 21. More information for local families who are interested can be found on the city’s website.
