Fairmont activity explores womens heart health

Fairmont Area Schools recently announced that a workshop is on the way that will address heart disease in women.

The Heart Health for Women workshop will provide a deep dive exploration of the topic at hand, and as it will be offered online, those interested can participate from the comfort of their own home. It will run for one and half hours, and its agenda includes a variety of topics.

Janice Novak will serve as the facilitator for the activity, and she will discuss how the symptoms of heart disease can be different in women than in men. She will describe various indicators of heart health and what they might mean, and the importance of prevention will also be reviewed. Everyone will find out how they can give their own heart some TLC by making good food choices and exercising, and a description of four indicator numbers that may save one’s life will wrap up the activity.

Whether they are hosted in person or online, workshops often require a variety of printed materials. Local printing services companies will be happy to help, and can prepare everything from visual learning aids and Infographics to promotional Pens to hand out during a live event.

This opportunity for Fairmont to brush up on heart health for women is scheduled for February 2nd. It will begin at 6:00 pm, and the Fairmont Area Schools website offers more information and a registration link.
