Residents of Fairmont who enjoy hitting the open road on two or more wheels are invited to save the date for a fundraiser that will wrap up August.
Chapter 32 of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) has organized a fundraiser and community meal for the area. Departing from the Fairmont Legion, it will make stops at several other Legion branches, and it will be an all-day activity.
Everyone will gather at the Legion before they begin their ride, and kickstands will go up at 8:00 am. They will stop at Buckshot's Bar and Grill in Butterfield for lunch, then continue their ride before returning to the starting point in the evening to mingle over supper.
The registration fee is $20 per driver and $10 for a rider. There is also an option for those who can only attend the evening meal portion of the activity. While it is geared towards motorcycles, all vehicles will be welcome
The organizers of this veteran-focused event are seeking donations of Corporate Gifts or experiences to offer as draw or door prizes, and other support for the activity will be appreciated as well.
