Dates set for Fairmont fall leaf collection

Fall is the season for falling leaves, and property owners can take advantage of a program that will pick them up for proper disposal.

The Park and Street Departments within the city of Fairmont have set the dates for the community’s fall leaf pick-up, and the crews will be collecting the leaves non-bagged. It will be divided into three sections, and collection dates are scheduled from late October to mid-November.

The pick-up crews will be fanning out for the leaf collection, and households have been asked to have them curbside for collection by 7:00 am on the Monday of the week scheduled for their neighborhood. They will be picked up between Monday and Friday. The piles of leaves must be in an accessible location. Any sticks, rocks, or other debris will be left behind. Items not accepted may be dropped off at the Yard Waste Recycling site. The contact number for the organizers is 507-238-9461.

Fall clean-ups and other collection events can help to keep communities looking great. A flyer printing company can prepare a variety of mailers to distribute to keep the public informed about upcoming activities in their home area.

Fairmont’s Fall Leaf Pick-Up dates start on Monday, October 27 and wrap up on Friday, November 14. Its website provides more information, including the areas covered during each of the three weeks, and when and how to place the leaves.
