Halloween is always popular in Fairmont, and the community will be offering its youngsters the chance to enjoy some safe, seasonally themed fun.
The City of Lakes Spooktacular will bring out everyone’s inner ghost or goblin, and while the little ones enjoy the excitement, the parents and guardians can look on and even snap some photos of the festivities. Many local businesses have chosen to support the celebration, making the gathering a true community builder.
Kids are encouraged to wear a costume for the activity, and they can go from trunk to trunk, collecting Promotional Products and other treats as they go. The venue will be closed to vehicle traffic, and this portion of the celebration will take place downtown. Once this has drawn to a close, families can head to Woodland Avenue for additional activities such as a witch’s dance, a costume parade, and more shelling out. Food trucks will be parked at the location.
Several local healthcare and assisted living facilities will be open to trick or treaters so everyone can enjoy the fun, no matter how young or old they may be. A haunted house is in the works as well.
