Fairmont parents to learn about YouTube

Many kids decide to start their own YouTube channel to share the content they craft, and a Fairmont workshop will give parents the inside scoop on how they can teach their young creator how to do so safely.

The class, which will be offered online, will be held in February of 2025. It will cover a variety of topics , and it will be specifically focused on teens and young kids. Along with safety, the attendees will find out how they can use the experience to teach practical life skills including budgeting and business management.

The session will explore how to properly set up a YouTube channel, including the use of any applicable safety settings. The importance of parental input and monitoring will be reviewed, and it was noted that only those over the age of 13 are legally allowed to start a channel. Basic business practices will also be on agenda, and anyone with questions is encouraged to contact the instructor, who will also provide follow up support.

The registration fee for the activity is $25.00 each, and registration closes on February 7th. A flyer printing company can create a variety of publications that inform the public about educational opportunities on offer in their home area.

This introduction to the world of YouTube for Fairmont parents is scheduled for February 11th. It will begin online at 12:00 pm.
