Fairmont family plans community fundraiser

Fairmont Eagles Club is set to play host to a fundraiser close to the heart of a family that calls the community home.

A benefit fundraiser for Gary Ettesvold is in the works for May. While its main goal is to raise funds, it is also intended to show Ettesvold that he has the community standing behind him. According to the event announcement, he has been hospitalized for several months, and has recently received a new heart.

The fundraising activity will see members of the public treated to pork chops on a stick prepared by Martin County Pork Producers, as well as a selection of sides, and a silent auction and live music are also on the agenda.

To help make the gathering a big success, the organizers have put out the call to businesses in the local area that would like to get involved. Sponsorships as well as monetary contributions and gifts in kind will all be appreciated.

Grassroots-level, community-based functions may find that they can make good use of the services of flyer printing companies, as the material is eye catching and at the same time affordable.

The doors for this special activity being held in support of Gary Ettesvold is set to begin at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 6. The organizers can be contacted at 507-238-2555.
