A band is coming to Chanhassen to celebrate one of the most iconic bands in rock.
Free Fallin’ is a tribute to Tom Petty, and the group has been performing his music for more than 15 years. They started by simply singing the songs from Petty’s catalog, but have evolved over time to the point where they now give complete shows that duplicate the original. In their performances, Free Fallin’ uses the same instruments and costumes worn by the legendary rocker, and play his biggest hits in shows that virtually recreate the original concert experience. Audiences can expect to hear classics like “Won’t Back Down,” “American Girl,” “Refugee,” and many others to which they already know the words.
In its career, Free Fallin’ has toured extensively, going on its “Broken Hearted Tour” in 2018, playing over 90 shows across 15 states. When 26,000 Petty fans came to Gainesville, Florida from around the world to celebrate “Tom Petty’s Birthday Weekend,” Free Fallin’ was there to headline the concert. In 2019, the band was on the road with the “Legacy Tour,” which traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada. The “For Real Tour” followed in 2020.
Free Fallin’ will be at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres on June 23 at 8:00 pm. When events like this are scheduled, organizers can use poster printing to create exciting advertising for the concert.
