A cover band that has been entertaining audiences for two decades will perform in Chanhassen.

The Fabulous Armadillos first got together in 2006 and since then have played hundreds of shows. They are celebrating their 20-year journey with the Celebration of 20 Years of Fabulous Armadillos, shows filled with memories, music, fun, and surprises. The show is subtitled “The Best Songs from the Last 20 Years.”

The band has a loyal following in Minnesota that has expanded beyond state lines. The group has won acclaim for their ability to accurately recreate songs from almost any genre with such accuracy that audiences believe they are hearing the original artists. Their work covers genres including 1970s soft rock, heavy metal, Motown, country, and more.

The group comprises diverse musicians who had the idea of performing “themed” concerts. They began appearing at the Pioneer Place on Fifth Theater, a historic venue in St. Cloud. There, they played concerts with themes like “Motown,” “One Hit Wonders,” “Stadium Rock,” and more. In addition to themed shows, they also perform tributes to bands like Pink Floyd and The Eagles.

The shows are scheduled for April 23-25 at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres in the Fireside Theatre. The shows are at 7.30 pm and are suitable for audiences age five and older. Performances like this benefit from the publicity they receive when organizers work with poster printing to create advertisements.
