Chanhassen welcomes NorrSound Tenors Christmas concert

An upcoming event in Chanhassen will bring Christmas to the city early.

The Chanhassen Dinner Theatres are the venue for an upcoming concert by the NorrSound Tenors, who are planning to give a Christmas concert. Audiences can expect to hear traditional favorites like “Mary Did You Know” and “O Holy Night,” as well as their exciting rendition of “Sleigh Ride.”

The inspiration for this group is the original “Three Tenors”—Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras, and Plácido Domingo—who were active from 1990 until 2003, singing concerts throughout the world.

This year, Nathan Bird will be joined by Felix Aguilar Tomlinson and Thore Dosdall for the “A Three Tenor’s Christmas,” which has been a tradition at the theater for more than ten years. The group will perform pop-opera, classic operatic material, and Christmas carols, weaving them together into a beautiful seasonal performance. An audience member said:

“It was like putting on a warm sweater and sitting by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate. Just a warm, secure feeling—a great way to enter the Christmas season.”

The Three Tenors will perform in the Fireside Theatre, which is the second largest of the complex’s three theaters, seating 246, for three shows November 27-29. It is also the only theater in which the meal is served in a different room. Shows like this benefit when organizers use poster printing to create advertisements to support them, which can increase attendance.
