Some of the funniest people in the Twin Cities area will be coming to Chanhassen soon.

OG Coffee & Wine will be the venue for a stand-up comedy show featuring host Jon Stannard, with Jethro Trogo, and headlining Khadijah Cooper. Cooper grew up in the Minneapolis suburbs and worked with young teens, a career that required public speaking. That, plus her lively wit, gave her the material she needed to start her career in comedy.

She began by appearing at various open mic nights, which led her to the House of Comedy’s “Funniest Person with a Day Job” contest, where she was a finalist. She is also the co-producer of People of Comedy (POC), which promotes integrating people from all backgrounds into the culture of comedy. Her point of view as an educator and mother has made her comfortable with her own background and makes her material relatable to everyone.

Jethro Trogo was also a finalist in the House of Comedy’s 2025 “Funniest Person with a Day Job” contest. Trogo is Filipino and uses his background as a first-generation immigrant and his life experiences in his material. He makes his base in Minnesota, and performs regularly in the area, as well as online for audiences around the world.

Comedy fans are invited to come to OG Coffee & Wine for comedy and a glass of wine on October 17. For this type of event, organizers could work with flyer printing to create handouts, advertising the show in the local area.
