What's Happening in Chanhassen, MN…

A band that takes listeners back to their favorite decade, the 80s, is coming to Chanhassen.

Halfway There, a group that has toured throughout the United States and Canada, comprises Minnesota musicians. They created their band because of their love of Bon Jovi’s music, and their goal was to tackle the diverse, extensive music of the iconic group. This further expanded to include a deep dive into all the music of the 1980s, which some people believe was the greatest time in pop/rock music.

They now perform the music of Loverboy, Tina Turner, Poison, Heart, Def Leppard, Guns ‘n Roses, Joan Jett, Journey, and of course. Bon Jovi. They occasionally stray out of the legendary years and these record-breaking groups but usually concentrate on their (and their audiences) favorite artists.

The band’s setlist includes Bon Jovi hits like “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Bad Medicine,” and “Raise Your Hands.” Other artists and their works the band enjoys playing are “Fat Bottomed Girls” by Queen, and “Working for the Weekend” by Loverboy.

Halfway There will be at Hackamore Brewing Company, 18651 Lake Drive East in Chanhassen on May 3. The band does take requests, so people should come to the show prepared to ask for a favorite. When they plan events like this, organizers often use flyer printing to create handouts to distribute at the venue and throughout the local area, advertising the show.
