A Christmas celebration will take place, according to organizers, in the kitchen.

Lori Dokken is presenting the upcoming show, “Singin’ in the Kitchen,” at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres. The idea behind the title is that the kitchen is the place where people seem to get together during the holidays. It is warm, cozy, and often smells great when people are baking holiday treats.

The show will feature not only Lori Dokken, but also Joyann Parker, Ginger Commodore, Judi Vinar, Rachel Holder, and Patty Peterson. The artists will share their stories and sing the carols they enjoy the most. Audiences will hear standards like “Do You Hear What I Hear?”, “Santa Baby,” the Barbra Streisand version of “Jingle Bells,” “Carol of the Bells,” “Sleigh Ride,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” and many more.

Lori Dokken has been in the music industry for more than 40 years, at first as a solo artist appearing in piano bars and cabarets, and hosting open mic events. More recently, she has concentrated on being a producer, player, and music director for many creative and innovative presentations highlighting the contributions women have made to the industry in the past 100 years.

“Singin’ in the Kitchen” will be performed three times. At 7.30 pm on December 10, and at 1.00 pm and 7.30 pm on December 11. When they want to advertise events like this, a venue may turn to poster printing to create advertising.
