Members of Jonny James & the Hall of Fames (JJHOF) met in music college and have been together since 2006. They previously appeared at the theater in a tribute to Pink Floyd. Now they are returning with “The Song Remains the Same,” the name of a song by Led Zeppelin, the legendary band they are covering.
Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 in London, founded by vocalist Robert Plant, drummer John Bonham, John Paul Jones on bass and keyboards, and Jimmy Page on guitar. Their sound, driven by heavy guitars, has led critics to consider them forerunners of heavy metal and hard rock. Their contributions to music were so profound, Led Zeppelin was awarded Kennedy Center Honors in 2012.
Once called the “Biggest Band in the World,” Led Zeppelin dominated rock in the 1970s with their manic drum solos, bluesy wails, and intense guitar riffs on songs like “Heartbreaker, and “Stairway to Heaven.” Now JJHOF will bring those classics to life.
A critic calls JJHOF a:
“rousing and exciting . . . band” whose “stellar live performances feature exceptionally eclectic, clever, and catchy . . . tunes. The group displays top-notch musicianship . . .”
JJHOF will be at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres on September 8. When events of this type are planned, organizers can use poster printing to create advertising to bring in fans.
