Summer Art Fair returns to Saginaw

Saginaw is hosting its annual Art Fair this August.

The Art Fair highlights about 65 artists and crafters, including both established and up-and-coming artists. There will be live music performances and artistic activities for both kids and adults. There will also be a Kid Zone with yard games and other entertainment.

The Art Fair is run by a committee of volunteers from the Saginaw Art Initiative, a nonprofit organization that celebrates the arts while promoting arts education. The fair aims to feature a mix of culinary, visual and performance artists and encourage businesses and community groups to collaborate with local artists. The fair is juried, which means artists needed to apply and be selected to participate by a panel of judges.

The organizers provide previews of some of the featured artists on the fair’s website. Photos of work from the 2024 artists are currently available, and the 2025 lineup will be published soon. Art media include metal, fiber, jewelry, two- and three-dimension mixed media, glass and paint.

The fair is free to attend. It will be on Ojibway Island in the Saginaw River. Parking on the island will be available during the event. Organizations often use poster printing services to promote local events.

The Saginaw Art Fair will take place on Friday, August 8 and Saturday, August 9 from 10 am to 5 pm.
