Saginaw summer concerts to start in June

Saginaw Township is hosting a summer concert series beginning next month.

Party on McCarty is Saginaw Township’s local outdoor summer concert series, which will take place at the soccer complex on McCarty Road. Each concert will have a musical theme and a partnering radio station.

The June 9 kick-off event will feature “At Work 80s” music with 97.3 Joe FM. Attendees should be aware that outside food and beverages are prohibited, but there will be a selection of food vendors to purchase from. There will also be a beer and wine tent. Attendees should bring their own seating. Pets are not allowed. Those interested should expect a crowd, as previous concerts have had more than 5,000 attendees.

Gates will open at 5:00 pm, which is 30 minutes before the performance begins. There will be a $5 fee per vehicle for parking. This money will be donated to the Saginaw Township Soccer Association. Sponsoring organizations often give out Promotional Products to advertise at this type of event.

Five more concerts will take place throughout the rest of the summer, with genres including Motown, classic rock, country, and ‘80s and ‘90s hits. Details are available on the event page on GoGreat.com.

The first Party on McCarty concert will take place on Thursday, June 9 from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
