Saginaw Museum to host childrens countdown party

The Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum in Saginaw is offering an early New Year’s Eve countdown celebration.

The event is designed to provide a daytime New Year’s Eve celebration for families with children. Attendees can visit 12 different craft and activity stations. These will include a snowball toss, penguin bowling, firework art, party hat decorating, and ball drop tower making. A countdown to the new year will take place every hour. DJ Domingo will play music throughout the event, and balloon artist Joel Tacey will be circulating between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.

The museum will also be open until 5:00 pm for families to visit. It is a nonprofit with a mission to provide an inclusive space for children aged 10 and younger to learn through play.

The New Year’s Eve event is free to attend. Credit Unions Impact Saginaw made a substantial donation towards the event, and several people are volunteering their time to run it. Sponsors often provide promotional Pens and other items at this type of event. Credit Unions Impact Saginaw is a group of 16 local credit unions working together to support community organizations through fundraising and increasing awareness.

The New Year’s Eve Countdown Blast will take place on Saturday, December 30 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum in downtown Saginaw.
