Saginaw chorus group to host museum concerts

Saginaw Choral Society is hosting a series of concerts in three of the town’s museums this fall and winter.

The first performance, American Soundscapes, will take place at the Saginaw Art Museum. The show will include multiple acts featuring the works of American singers and songwriters. Performances will take place on both outdoor and indoor stages, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet the performers and explore the museum between acts.

The second show, Jazz Unplugged, will take place by candlelight at the Castle Museum of Saginaw County. The Choral Society plans to create an immersive experience by performing simple vocal music in a historic setting.

The series will end with A Musical Promenade at the Marshall Fredericks Sculpture Museum. Attendees will be able to walk through a candlelit space to view the museum’s collection while listening to the musical performances.

All three concerts will begin with a reception starting at 5:30 pm, which will include a cash bar. Tickets are available on the Saginaw Choral Society’s website. The cost is $120 per person or $40 for each individual concert. This includes admission to the pre-concert reception. Music groups often work with Print shops to produce programs for their concerts.

The Saginaw Choral Society’s Museum Series will take place on Thursday, September 7, 2023, Wednesday, November 8, 2023 and Thursday, February 8, 2024, starting at 6 pm.
