Saginaw choir to perform at art museum

The Saginaw Choral Society will perform at the Saginaw Art Museum this September.

During the Opera at the Museum event, members of the Choral Society will perform popular arias in multiple locations throughout the museum. These will include both indoor and outdoor stages. The group has designed the program as a salute to opera, so will present a selection of pieces from various operas. Snacks and beverages will be served throughout the evening as well.

The Saginaw Choral Society was founded in 1935 and is made up of volunteer singers with a diverse set of life and musical experiences. The group performs a wide range of music styles as well, including everything from popular hits to classical pieces. Saginaw Art Museum’s building was originally the home of the Ring family and was designed in around 1903 in the style of an Italian villa. The building is made of red brick with white pillars and is surrounded by extensive gardens.

Tickets for Opera at the Museum cost $30 per person, with student discounts available. Those planning to attend can purchase tickets on the Saginaw Choral Society’s website. The ticket cost includes hospitality. Organizations often work with Stationery printers to design and produce programs for this type of event.

Opera at the Museum will take place on Thursday, September 8 at 6:00 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm.
