The Saginaw Arts and Enrichment Commission is hosting its annual All Areas Arts Awards this spring.
The event recognizes achievements in the local arts community, as well as by civic groups and business leaders. All Area Arts Awards recipients can be individual artists, businesses, or nonprofits. Artists need to have been recognized for their work at the state, local, or national level and must either live in or have been born in Saginaw County. Organizations need to have supported the arts in Saginaw County or worked to encourage local arts education.
The inaugural Scott J. Seeburger Young Artist Award will also be presented during the ceremony. This award will recognize a visual, literary, digital, or performance artist aged 17 to 30. It includes a $1,000 grant to help the winner continue to develop their artistic skills.
Tickets for the awards ceremony are available to the public for $50 per person and can be purchased by calling the Enrichment Commission at 989-759-1362, extension 3. The event will start with a reception with music and food. Saginaw United High School’s Drumline will perform at 7:00 pm. Organizations often use flyer printing services to promote their public events.
Now in their 35th year, the awards will take place on Wednesday, May 7 at 5:30 pm at The Red Room at The Dow Event Center in Saginaw.
