Saginaw Art Museum is hosting a floral painting class this April.
The class is part of the museum’s “Painting With Merry Feith” series, which offers an acrylic painting lesson on a specific theme every month. These sessions are designed to give participants an experience that is both creative and relaxing.
April’s theme will be purple floral. Participants will paint on a 9-inch-by-12-inch canvas with peaceful music playing in the background.
Merry Feith is a local artist who has sold hand-painted Christmas ornaments that depict Saginaw landmarks and businesses, including the Castle Museum of Saginaw County and Hamilton Street bakery.
Space in the classes is limited, so those planning to participate should register in advance on the art museum’s website. The cost is $20 per person per class, which includes paint, canvas, brushes, and any other required supplies. The class is open to all ages and levels of artistic skill. The event page on the museum’s website lists future themes and photos of example paintings for each of the upcoming classes. Museums often use local brochure printing services to share information about their programs and collections with visitors.
The April session will take place on Saturday, April 8, starting at 1:00 pm at Saginaw Art Museum. The class is expected to last about an hour and a half.
