Several workshops will be hosted by the Denmark Arts Center this month and next.
Workshops such as these are often promoted with Flyers distributed throughout a region and created by local Print shops.
The first will be a SoulCollage workshop with Heather MacLeod. Attendees will be introduced to the basic process of making cards with SoulCollage which encourages people to snip, rip, and paste images into cards, using their willingness to explore and their imaginations to create a personal wisdom card. The experience of creating cards with this process is transformative and empowering. The fee for the class is $5 which includes the price of materials.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday September 20 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The Sip n’ Clay workshops will be a series of four sessions held on Thursday evenings and will be led by a veteran of 35 years of pottery instruction, Kathy Banks. Both beginners and more advanced potters are welcome to attend this workshop. Attendees will be exploring bodies of clay, textures, Forms, and hand-building and working with high-fired stoneware clay. The fee for the workshop is $100 and covers all materials including clay, glazes, two firings in the kiln, and two tickets for beverages that will be served.
This series will run from Thursday October 6 through Thursday November 3 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
