Woodworkers showcase set in Denmark

The Denmark Arts Center will be hosting a western Maine independent woodworkers’ event next month.

This event will enable people to share techniques, showcase their skills, and highlight the craftsmanship of a variety of rural artisans. The Denmark Arts Center is collaborating with Tear Cap Workshop to host this event which acknowledges past events and aspires to host more such events in the future.

This event is free and open to the public. A grant from the Maine Community Foundation-Maine Expansion Arts is helping to make this event possible. A list of the artisans participating in this event and other activities will be announced at a later date. At such time, flyer printing can be used to list such artisans and to promote such events throughout a town and neighboring communities.

There will be an opening reception from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday Mat 22 with free food and drinks provided by the Denmark Arts Center, National Distributors, and Tear Cap Workshop.

The woodworkers’ showcase will be from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday May 23 and Sunday May 24 as well as the following weekend Saturday May 30 and Sunday May 31. There will be demonstrations at 10:00 a.m., noon, and 2:00 p.m. It will also be open during the week from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. from Monday May 25 through Friday May 29.
