Tribute band to perform in Denmark

The Denmark Arts Center will be hosting the Shadow Riders-Labor Day Weekend Show later this week.

The Shadow Riders are from the New England area and are a six-piece band. Their music focuses on the original sound of the Marshall Tucker Band. Bruce Marshall is a guitarist and singer who leads the band and has assembled a group of musicians who can faithfully recreate this classic music.

Marshall played with Toy Caldwell, the co-founder, primary songwriter, and lead guitarist of the Marshall Tucker Band. Consequently, the Shadow Riders have a unique insight into the arrangement and playing of this music and how it was sold to the public. The name, “Shadow Riders,” is what Caldwell used for his backup singers when he played with Marshall in 1989 and 1990, and is also the title of one of his songs.

The Marshall Tucker Band was known for an innovative blend of southern rock, jazz, Western swing, and country blues. The Shadow Riders are enthusiastic about this music and perform an engaging tribute to this iconic group.

Such special concerts can be promoted throughout a town and surrounding communities with poster printing.

The show will be from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Saturday, August 30 at the Denmark Arts Center on West Main Street in Denmark. The price of general admission tickets is $15.
