New performances come to Denmark Arts Center

Several events will be taking place at the Denmark Arts Center next month.

Such distinctive and special events can be promoted throughout a town and neighboring communities with poster printing.

Bailey’s Mistake is a four piece folk band that is somewhat non-traditional playing Celtic-inspired music. Their music is a mix of songs from Newfoundland, Scotland, and Ireland as well as some new songs about life in New England. The band features vocals, bass, guitar, and drums in addition to a whistle and bagpipe. This performance will be from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday July 10.

The Lion’s Club and the town of Denmark will be holding a community celebration for Independence Day. There will be a live band and fireworks. Strawberry shortcake made with homemade biscuits, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream will be served by the Denmark Arts Center while the Denmark Parks and Recreation Department will be offering burgers, French fries, and a sweet treat. This will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday July 11.

The trio, Mad Agnes, will be performing their one microphone, radio-style concert that engages the audience with their spontaneous fun and human connection. Their instrumentation includes an inventive keyboard, melodica, piano, ukelele, mandolin, and guitar that always seems to enthrall audiences. This will be on Saturday July 18 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
