The Bridgton Twin Drive-In and Norway Savings Bank is partnering with the Denmark Arts Center to host a drive-in music series each Sunday from the end of August through September.
All concerts begin at 1:00 p.m. with gates opening at noon. The cost is $50 per vehicle with a maximum for five people per vehicle. Reservations are required and the concerts are held regardless of the weather. Such special events often benefit from poster printing to enhance visibility and focus on such partnerships that have made them possible.
The first concert will be by the Starlight Honeys. Their music is rooted in folk traditions, and they play acoustic instruments, taking pride in their vocal harmonies. Their songs inspire emotion and also make people want to dance. The group plays many genres of music ranging from reggae to country, rock, and folk. They will be performing on Sunday August 22.
The next performance will be by King Memphis, a group that features their brand of wild and swinging rock ‘n roll. They bring a new sound to the genre with roots in swing music and early rockabilly. They will be performing on Sunday August 29. The Shadow Riders perform next showing their love of the blues and Southern Rock featuring the music of the Marshall Tucker Band. They will be performing on Sunday September 5.
