The Denmark Arts Center will be holding two special workshops next month.
Poster printing is often used by such organizations to promote their workshops and special classes.
The first will be a painting workshop of fall leaves with Micki Warner. Warner will be teaching an introductory class with watercolors using three primary colors. Some simple techniques using watercolors will be explored. The cost for the class is $20 and includes instruction and all materials. Attendees will bring home a painting that is ready to hang. The class will be held on Tuesday, October 5 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
There will be a series of Sip n’ Clay Workshops taught by Kathy Banks, who has 25 years of experience in teaching pottery. The class is designed for both novices and advanced potters. Attendees will work with high-fired stoneware clay, exploring texture, clay bodies, Forms, and hand-building.
The cost for the workshop is $90 and includes all materials, two kiln firings, and two tickets for beverages during the workshop. Black Art Materials and Laguna Clay are sponsoring the workshop and donating the materials.
The workshop will be held every Thursday evening in October, starting on October 7. Each class meeting will begin at 5:30 pm and end at 7:30 pm, allowing a half an hour for clean-up and wrapping up.
