Music festival to come to Denmark

The Denmark Arts Center will be holding a Dam Jam REVIVAL next month.

Such unique events are often promoted throughout a region with poster printing.

This is an outdoor festival that offers fun for the entire family with good music, kids’ art, craft artisans, stilt walkers, and a wide selection of food trucks.

One of the headliners of the festival is Dave Gutter from Maine, who is a Grammy award winner for Best American Roots Performance. He has been a musician for many years and is the vocalist, frontman, and founder of several rock groups, including Armies, Paranoid Social Club, and Rustic Overtones.

The other headliner is Dominic Lavoie, a producer, songwriter, and musician who uses music to stay true to his creative spirit and himself. He has performed with Los Lobos and Rayland Baxter, among others, and is as comfortable on stage as he is in the studio, having released a self-directed music film and seven albums.

The kids' area will have face painting, roaming artists, and the Neveah Dance Circus with readings for children every hour on the half hour. Guitar-making with luthier Alex Edney, Pickett Hill Pottery, and Tear Cap Workshops in wood products will be in the crafts area.

The Dam Jam REVIVAL will be held on Sunday, August 18 from 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Bicentennial Park.
