Operation Warm, a national non-profit organization of the Rotary Club that manufactures brand-new, high-quality coats for children, has partnered with the Fryeburg Area Rotary Club.
Operation Warm has been working with Rotary Clubs and other organizations across the United States and Canada since 1998 to serve children and their families. Residents of nearby Denmark may benefit from such partnerships.
So far this year, 36 high-quality winter coats have been purchased by the club from Operation Warm for young adults and children to help those in need in the area. An advance of $800 from the Fryeburg Area Rotary Club has ensured that the coats get to the area quickly.
The coats are now available at the Fryeburg Thrift Shop, and are of various genders and sizes to accommodate families in the community. Such organizations can also partner with local Print shops to provide more details about such coats and make it known throughout the community that they are available.
Laura Naughton of the Fryeburg Rotary Club stressed the importance of making sure everyone is warm and safe during these challenging times. Operation Warm said that its new high-quality coats and shoes, which the organization manufactures itself, help to provide the confidence and emotional warmth to be a catalyst for connections in the community, and enable people to socialize and be successful.
