The Stone Mountain Arts Center (SMAC) in Brownfield will be hosting several performances next month. Music-loving residents of Denmark will likely not want to miss these special events.
Venues such as SMAC often turn to printing services to promote their line-up of performers.
Amy Helm, the daughter of Levon Helm, co-founder of The Band, will be performing selections from her new album. “What the Flood Leaves Behind” is an expression of herself and how she listens to music. Helm will be performing on Friday, January 14 at 8:00 pm, with tickets available at $30 per person.
The next day, Ward Hayden and the Outliers will be performing. This fun band features twangy country rock and roll sounds and is favorite of the SMAC. The band has an eclectic blend of musical styles that feature creative percussion, cowboy vocals, and melodies. This all-male quintet will be performing at 8:00 pm and tickets are $25 per person.
Rounding out the January program, the following weekend will feature Kat Wright and Marc Cohen. Wright sings rock ‘n’ roll that is funky at times but beautiful all the time, while Marc Cohen is a Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter, as well as a talented piano player. Wright will be performing on Friday, January 21, with Cohen following on Saturday, January 22.
