The Denmark Arts Center will be holding several camps for children this summer.
The first will be an art camp for children between 7 and 10 years old, intended for beginners. Children will work with a variety of materials, learn about historical and contemporary artists, and explore their creativity. The camp will include many types of media, from sculpture to painting and crafts. It will be from Monday, July 1 through Wednesday, July 3 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm each day.
Children over 11 years old can attend a camp where they can bring their original characters to life. The camp will teach children about storytelling and development and investigate different types of characters. The major focus of the camp will be illustration, from the design of the character to basic figure drawing and line art. This camp will be from Tuesday, July 9 through Friday, July 12 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
A musical theater camp for children seven years of age and older will consist of a workshop of five days followed by a performance. During the camp, the children will create a fully staged musical production with costumes. Activities will include singing, movement, staging, and character building. This will be from Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with the performance on Saturday, July 27 at 1:00 pm.
Such camps are often promoted throughout a region with flyer printing.
