The Denmark Arts Center will be holding its World of Wonder Family Fun Days next month.
A theater program designed for the entire family, the playfulness of the actor during the performance, and their skills in mime and magic, charm audiences. The show is a journey into the imagination.
This performance will feature Leland Faulkner, who is known for the lost but eye-catching art of shadowgraphs or hand shadows. Faulkner will be creating a wide range of silhouettes using only his hands. Faulkner has performed in some of the largest venues around the world, including circuses, theaters, and arenas in China, Turkey, Japan, and Russia, as his shadows speak to viewers across language barriers. His work is like the Japanese art of origami, as paper comes to life in his touching and comical movements that comprise storytelling, theater, and a little magic.
Poster printing can provide advertising for exciting performances such as this one.
Faulkner will be bringing to life Nasrudding, the entertaining and amusing character, in an original story about an invisible chicken. This performance is funded by grants from the town of Denmark, the Kendal C. and Anna Ham Charitable Foundation, the David Family Foundation, and the Maine Bicentennial Commission.
The World of Wonder Family Fun Days will be held on Saturday, June 26 from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
