College for seniors to hold winter term

The winter term at the Senior College at Bridgton is underway with many two-hour classes being offered through February.

Residents of Denmark will want to make sure they take advantage of these opportunities to learn about some unique topics. All classes run from 10:00 am until noon and take place at the Magic Lantern Tannery Pub.

Brochure printing is often used to provide further details about such courses and how to register for them.

Later this month, Jenn and Justin Ward will lead a class on how they created a homestead in the mountains of western Maine. The discussion will also include their unbiased account of living on a family farm and the trials and tribulations they encountered in establishing their homestead. This session will take place on Tuesday, January 28.

John Doughty will present a talk on the global engagement of the United States and the military. He will cover the role of the military in the international order and its balance with foreign assistance and diplomatic capabilities. This session will take place on Tuesday, February 4.

The final session will be on the classic movie “Key Largo.” To be presented by Margaret Reimer, the talk will focus on the famous actors in the film—such as Lionel Barrymore, Edward G. Robinson, Lauren Bacall, and Humphrey Bogart—and its drama. This talk will take place on Thursday, February 6.
