Will Rhys will be presenting a unique production of “A Christmas Carol” at the Denmark Arts Center next month.
Rhys has both directed and performed in many versions of this classic Charles Dickens holiday tale and will be weaving together his skills at storytelling with his acting skills as he plays each character, and then brings them to life in his performance. This is a production the entire family can enjoy, and can be promoted as such through poster printing and other printing services.
The Portland Press Herald has commented that the performance by Rhys is “spirited and infectious” and that it brings life to Dickens’ work.
Rhys is both a director and actor and has appeared on Broadway, off-Broadway, and off-off-Broadway, as well as across the country in the National Theatre of the Deaf, where is a founding member and appointed artistic director in 1992; the Milwaukee Repertory Theater; and the Cleveland Play House. He was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Cleveland Play House. Rhys now makes his home in Maine and has appeared in productions at the Portland Stage Company, the American Irish Repertory Ensemble, and the Freeport Shakespeare Festival.
A Christmas Carol with Will Rhys will take place at the Denmark Arts Center from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, December 14.
