The Denmark Arts Center will be holding its Kids Camp this summer.
Such camps are often promoted throughout a community with poster printing.
A new camp this year is the Sensory Science Camp for children under the age of six years old. As a parent and child experience, this camp will foster social emotional and multi-sensory learning. The camp will consist of Little Roots for three days followed by a morning of Wigglers, Fossils, and Whales at the Children’s Museum of Maine. This camp will run from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. from Tuesday July 6 through Friday July 9.
The Junk Funk Music Camp is for children between the ages of 8 and 14 years old and will enable kids to create dances, songs, and music; play instruments; and join in the fun and enthusiasm. This camp will be held from Wednesday July 14 through Friday July 16 with a performance at the end of the camp for the entire community.
A Hoop Dance Camp will teach campers how to make a hula hoop, do hoop tricks, and choreograph with hula hoops. The camp will run from Tuesday July 20 through Thursday July 24 with a performance at the end of the camp.
All camps will be held outside in Bicentennial Park across from the Arts Center. All camps are at no charge thanks to the support of the town of Denmark, the David Family Foundation, and the Maine Bicentennial Commission.
