Currently on display, and continuing through the end of next month in the Resource Room at the Bridgton Public Library, is artwork by those who live at Bella Point Bridgton. Residents of Denmark, particularly those with a love of art and graphic design, will no doubt want to see this special exhibit.
The artwork is displayed on what is known as The Yellow Wall. Kathie Watson, Activities Director at Bella Point, said that such work represents the pride of the artists that comes from a sense of accomplishment. She added that such work is good for the morale of the residents, helps them with their fine motor skills, and is an opportunity to have fun.
Watson got involved with The Yellow Wall as she frequents the Resource Room where the library has its computers. She noticed artwork on the wall and inquired as to whether the artists needed to be well-known. When she learned that that was not a requirement, she said that she had some excellent artists at Bella Point and was allowed to use the wall.
Betsy Morris, who oversees the Yellow Wall Gallery and is a member of Friends of the Bridgton Public Library, said that this exhibit is a testament to the creative spirit. The Yellow Wall Gallery has been in existence since 2017 and rotates exhibits every three months.
