The Denmark Arts Center will be hosting several special events next month.
Such events are often promoted throughout a town and a region with poster printing.
The first is the Jolly Holly Handmade Bazaar. This is an annual event and will feature the creativity of the work of local artisans as well as some tasty treats and holiday pies. Admission is free. The bazaar will be on Saturday November 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Denmark Arts Center on Main Street.
The High Street Band will be performing the following week. This is a multiple piece band that performs selections of jazz from the Great American Songbook. Among their repertoire are the Latin rhythms of Antônio Carlos Jobim and songs from Gershwin and Ellington. Among the band members are Janet Gill on vocals, Claudia Keller on sax and clarinet, Scott Holden on vocals and drums, John Delea on congas, Gary Polhemus on guitar, and Tom Chandel on bass. This performance will be on Friday November 15 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Lastly there will be an Evening with Stephanie Hollenberg and Luke Concannon, a husband-and-wife duet. The two will present an evening demonstrating their passion for music that will include audience participation. This will be on Friday November 22 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The price for general admission tickets for the two concerts is $15 each.
