Glen Burnie will have two opportunities to get outdoors this month.
First, Carifesta and Culturefest will be holding a Yard Fest in the middle of the month. This will be an outdoor festival for all ages with a food court, beer garden, and craft village. Craftspeople often include Business Cards with their purchased items at events like this.
DJs Max the Blazer, Ghost, TAF Bimshire, Smally, Geovoni, and Fyah Oats will be providing the music. Tickets will be free, but RSVP is recommended. Yard Fest will be Saturday, July 15 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm at July’s Island Grill, 800 Crain Highway N.
A week later, the Harundale 11U Rebels baseball team will be holding a cornhole tournament for its annual fundraiser here in Glen Burnie.
The format will be double elimination and will use American Cornhole Organization (ACO) official rules. The team finishing first will receive $750, with the second-placed team getting $250.
Along with the tournament, the event will have live entertainment, a moon bounce, food, and basket and 50/50 raffles. Everyone should bring their own chairs.
The entry fee will be $100 per team, which includes one drink and meal ticket per member. Meals will be hamburgers and hotdogs and drinks will be water or soda.
The tournament will take place Saturday, July 22 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at North Glen Park, 1391 Gordon Court.
