Runners and walkers from in and around Glen Burnie will be heading to the Casey Cares Foundation's 17th Annual 5k Run/Walk coming in early August.
Registration for the adult 5k run and the one-mile walk will cost $43.40 each, and children eight years old and younger may race the 5k or walk the mile for $11.60.
Packets may be picked up from noon to 6:00 pm on Friday, July 31 at Casey Cares Foundation, 7100 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite 155, Columbia. Same-day registration will take place at the zoo entrance.
Swag will include race bibs, tech T-Shirts, and finisher medals. Registration will be open until August 1, but registrants must sign up before next Friday, July 17 to be guaranteed tech shirts. Awards will go to the team with the most spirit, the team that has the most members, and the team that raises the most money for the event’s beneficiary, the Casey Cares Foundation, which supports critically ill children and their families.
Event trail markers, race bibs, signup sheets, and start and finish line Banners are often printed with the event's graphic design at local Print shops.
The Casey Care's 17th Annual 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk will take place on Saturday, August 1 at Baltimore's Maryland Zoo,1 Safari Place. Both the run and the walk will begin at 8:00 am.
