Creative class to welcome artisans to Glen Burnie

A crafty workshop is in the works in Glen Burnie for this October, providing a fun way to learn new skills with friends and family.

The Crushed Glass Suncatcher workshop, which is being organized with assistance from Maryland Craft Parties, will open its doors to registered guests in a few weeks, providing an immersive and guided learning experience of creating with crushed glass. The workshop is open to interested individuals aged 14 and over, and no experience is necessary.

Participants will have 29 designs to consider and choose from, and all supplies are included in the price of enrollment. Instructors will be available for demonstrations and instructions, helping beginners gain confidence as they go. Print shops are a valuable resource for events like this, aiding with promotional materials and providing high-quality printed instructions to enrolled students.

Design options include a butterfly, cat, Highland cow, palm tree, starfish, and sunflower. Two six-inch ornaments will also come with the completed crushed glass suncatcher. The class is limited to 25 seats, and all tickets will be sold online. Participants will be able to take their finished suncatcher home to add to their decor.

The Olive Tree, located on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie, is hosting the creative experience. It will open at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 13. Tickets start at $58 per participant online.
